  I'm sick of the cold. I'm sick of the snow. I'm sick of the ice that forms from the cold and the snow. But at least it gives me something to take pictures of now and again. I was getting out of a parking space and saw the pileup of icy snow and a dark background. I didn't have a macro lens or extension tubes or any of the other tools of the close-up trade so I just grabbed a longer lens and shot tight. Winter looks better close up this time of year.   Animal County Animal Control Warden Brianna Leland feeds hay to animals in unincorporated Hampshire on Wednesday. They had been feed several times and each time she walked in the animals immediately approached her for more. Stacey Fiebelkorn, of Elgin, has been charged with animal cruelty after Kane County Animal Control authorities discovered several dead animals, including a pony, donkey, goats, chickens, and more at the address.
