First Friday Concert series begins with Will Kruger and special guest Mark Fowler from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, June 3, on the back patio of the Lost Valley Visitor Center in Glacial Park, Route 31 and Harts Road in Ringwood.

Kruger and Fowler will perform the music of classic singer/songwriters, such as Paul Simon, Gordon Lightfoot, James Taylor and John Denver. Kruger's musical roots go back to the folk era where influence from the likes of Peter Paul & Mary, Simon & Garfunkel, and John Denver have shaped his musical style. He has spent the past 30 years as a professional entertainer playing clubs, festivals, and auditoriums throughout the Midwest.

Bring a picnic dinner or dessert and a lawn chair and enjoy our intimate outdoor setting under the branches of ancient oaks with stunning views of the outstretched valley. In the case of inclement weather, concerts will be moved indoors. No glass containers are allowed. Site closes at 9 p.m.

Additional First Friday Concerts will feature The Mississippi Stranglers July 1, The Iris Isle String Emsemble Aug. 5, and C Flatt Sept. 2.

Registration is not required. For information, call Prairieview Education Center, (815) 479-5779 or visit www.MCCDistrict.org.
