Book fair to benefit Gavers Breast Center

The Centegra Hospital-Woodstock Auxiliary will host a Books Are Fun book fair to raise money for the Centegra Gavers Breast Center in Crystal Lake. The book fair will be 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, April 16, and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, April 17, in the lower level lobby at Centegra Hospital-Woodstock, 3701 Doty Road.

"We have hosted this fundraising opportunity for many years and it has always been very successful," said Auxiliary President Sally Welter. "It is one of our best money makers."

"The fair will have books and gifts for all ages and best sellers at a reduced priced," said Welter. "To make it easy for our customers, we accept cash, check, credit and debit. We even offer payroll deduction for Centegra Associates."

As an added benefit, those who purchase $50 in merchandise will receive a $25 restaurant gift card.

The Centegra Hospital-Woodstock Auxiliary, established in 1946, is made up of volunteers who organize fundraising activities, manage resale and gift shops and provide creative support for Centegra programs. Their efforts and goodwill have furnished major spaces, bought surgical and emergency equipment and refurbished several critical care areas.
