McHenry Co. Workforce Network to host Healthcare Career Program and Job Fair
McHenry County Workforce Network will host a Healthcare Career Program from 10 a.m. to noon Monday, July 13, and a Healthcare Job Fair from 9 a.m. to noon Friday, July 17. Both events will be held at the McHenry County Workforce Center, 500 Russel Court, Woodstock.
The Healthcare Career Program will spotlight the many new healthcare training programs offered at McHenry County College in Crystal Lake.
Amy Maxeiner, executive dean of Mathematics, Sciences and Health Professions, will present the program on MCC Healthcare degree and certificate programs. Learn about these exciting Healthcare Career training programs: Nursing AAS; Health Information Technology AAS; Occupational Therapy Assistant AAS; Patient Care Technician/ Clinical Medical Assisting Certificate program. Many of McHenry County's health care employers will be on hand at the Healthcare Job Fair, recruiting for openings within their businesses. This multi-employer job fair provides jobseekers the opportunity to apply for various positions with these employers all in one day and at one location. In addition, it allows the jobseeker to meet face to face with their prospective employer. Confirmed employers as of this writing include: Centegra Health System, Pioneer Center for Human Services, Visiting Angels, Home Instead Senior Care, The Fountains of Crystal Lake, BrightStar (multiple locations), and Fox Point Lifestyle. Job seekers should be ready to fill out an application, have up-to-date resumes, and come dressed for success!
