MCC's Second Sunday Series to feature Valentine concert Feb. 14
The McHenry County College Second Sunday concert series will host award-winning vocalist Maureen Christine and jazz saxophonist Michael Bazan at 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 14, for a valentine concert featuring music from great American composers from the 1940s to the '80s. The concert takes place in the Luecht Conference Center at the college, 8900 Route 14 in Crystal Lake.
The concert will feature some of the greatest songwriters in history and their famous songs including Rodgers & Hammerstein, Irving Berlin, Dave Brubeck, and contemporary songwriters such as John Denver, Barry Manilow and Henry Mancini.
Maureen Christine, a national recording artist, known for her "crystal clear" voice will perform with Michael Bazan, MCC jazz and woodwinds instructor and professional musician, who will perform on saxophone, flute and clarinet. Pianist and accordion player Don Stille completes the trio.
