H.B Fuller Sponsors Happy Birthdays for Needy Children

Recently, H.B Fuller donated $750.00 to sponsor needy children served by the Humanitarian Service Project (HSP,) of DuPage County. The donation will serve 15 of the 900 children, ages 3-11, in HSP's Children's Birthday Project, which provides impoverished children with a “Birthday Box” full of new gifts, books, and party supplies to celebrate their birthdays. The donation comes from the Community Affairs Council of H.B Fuller; an employee driven group that donates to organizations in the communities that H.B Fuller is established in. The company has been supporting children in their community served by HSP for a year and finds the Children's Birthday Project to be a worthwhile cause to support.

Each child in HSP's Children's Birthday Project receives a 20-25 lb Birthday Box containing: school supplies, 6 new books, and 6-10 new toys, stuffed animals, numerous smaller gifts, and a “party in a box kit” which contains all of the supplies to throw a memorable birthday party. The children enrolled in the program, along with their siblings up to the age of 15, also receive a minimum of 3 gifts at Christmas through HSP's annual Christmas Offering. A number of the families served through the project also receive 3 weeks worth of nutritious groceries at Christmas time, and in the summer months to help combat hunger.
