Oakton presents program on climate change
Faculty members from Oakton Community College, in coordination with Organizing for Action and The Climate Reality Project, will present a commentary on climate change Tuesday, Aug. 27 at the college’s Skokie campus, 7701 N. Lincoln Ave.
David Nadolski and Paul Gulezian will present material updating Nobel laureate and former Vice President Al Gore’s award-winning environmental film, “An Inconvenient Truth.” The event is free and open to the public.
The presentation titled, “An Inconvenient Truth 2.0 Our Earth at its Tipping Point: It’s Not Too Late,” will run from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Acorn Room. Nadolski, adjunct professor of speech at Oakton, recently was trained by Gore to present the updated slideshow. Gulezian is an assistant professor of biology at Oakton, where he teaches environmental science, biology, and a biology/chemistry undergraduate research course. His doctorate is from the University of Illinois Chicago in ecology and evolutionary biology.
Several state legislators will be in attendance.
