Learn about green restaurants at meeting

Submitted by Green Drinks McHenry County

The public is invited to Green Drinks McHenry County from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 5, at Duke’s Alehouse & Kitchen, 110 N. Main St. in Crystal Lake. Head upstairs at Duke’s for information and inspiration, business and pleasure.

Come talk about “greening” the future with others. You must be age 21 or older to purchase alcohol; nonalcoholic drinks are available.

Zak Dolezal, chef and general manager of Duke’s Alehouse and Kitchen, will discuss how restaurants can become more sustainable and make money, too. He will also explain how a restaurant becomes green certified and what you, as a consumer, can look for to determine which restaurants are greener than others.

There will be an information table set up, and you are welcome to bring information about your green products and services each month to share. Additional parking is available at the train station.
