At Cary-Grove: Cary-Grove senior Owen Russell finished second in singles play at the Cary-Grove sectional to advance to next week’s state finals. Russell lost to Marian Central senior Aaron Waters 6-2, 6-1 in the championship match. Prairie Ridge won the team title with 24 points. Cary-Grove was fourth with 16.
