V Foundation fundraiser at ECC Friday

The Elgin Community College basketball programs will host the 10th annual V Foundation fundraiser for cancer research on Friday at the ECC Events Center.

A silent auction will be held from 4-9 p.m. in the Events Center lobby. Items up for auction include autographed sports memorabilia, gift certificates to local restaurants and hotels, gift baskets, framed sports pictures and sports clothing.

All donations and proceeds from the event will go directly to the V Foundation for Cancer Research.

The Spartans’ basketball teams will take on the Northwestern club teams in exhibition games with the women playing at 6 p.m. and the men at 8 p.m. Admission is free.
