Senior health fair offered at MCC

Centegra Health System is partnering with Hearthstone Communities to co-host the annual Hearthstone Centegra Senior Fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, at McHenry County College in Crystal Lake on Route 14.
The event will offer activities such as a wellness fair, business expo, music and bingo. Admission is $1 at the door or a canned good for the Crystal Lake Food Pantry.
The fair is an expo of services, products, information and wellness geared toward those ages 50 and older, as well as a day of fun and entertainment. Additional fair activities include free lunch, while supplies last, and an expo of more than 50 businesses, government and nonprofit organizations with information for seniors and their loved ones.
Centegra Health System will provide health and wellness information and free screenings. The screenings provided that day will include diabetes, foot and bone density screenings and blood pressure and pulse oximetry, oxygen level, readings.
Additionally, vascular screenings will be available on the Centegra Wellness on the Move mobile health unit from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. for $129 per person. To schedule a vascular screening, call (877) CENTEGRA (236-8347).
Jay Mau Orchestra will perform from noon to 2 p.m., bingo will begin at 10 a.m. and lunch will begin at noon. The Secretary of State Mobile Drivers Services also will be at the fair issuing free state identification for those older than 65 and the disabled.
