Cary-Grove 5, Stevenson 0: Jeremy Vasquez was 2-for-4 with an RBI and Zach Marszal had a double and 2 RBI to lead the Trojans (21-13) in nonconference play. Matt Dunlap threw a 4-hitter with 6 strikeouts to earn the win.

CL South 3, Joliet West 2: On Jim Beck Day at Crystal Lake South, the Gators (26-9) scored in the bottom of the seventh to win. Tyler Salm had the game-winning hit and Nick Martin was the winning pitcher.

DeKalb 7, Elgin 3: Gage Teschner was 3-for-4, Alex Bottel went 2-for-3 and Ryan Sitter had a home run for Elgin (12-23). Drew Bloomquist was the losing pitcher.

Prospect 6, Burlington Central 0: The Rockets had just 1 hit and Zach Ranney took the loss for BC (24-10).

South Elgin 6, Elk Grove 4: Josh Goodwin and Nevan Jeske each went 3-for-4 with doubles for South Elgin. Alex Wolfe was the winning pitcher.
