ECC’s Dumoulin 2nd team all-America
Elgin Community College sophomore Cassie Dumoulin achieved a rarity Tuesday when she was named a junior college All-America women’s basketball player for the second straight year.
Dumoulin was chosen a second team all-American, following up a third-team selection last year. Only one other player was recognized by the NJCAA for the second straight year, joining Alli Gloyd of Mesa (AZ) Community College.
A Hampshire graduate, the 5-foot-8 Dumoulin led ECC to the ISCC championship this season. She was the fifth leading scorer in the nation at 22 points per game. She leaves ECC as the program’s all-time leading scorer with 1,393 career points.
She also averaged 6.1 rebounds per game, 4 assists and 3.5 steals.
