Women, find out how to reduce cancer risk

Submitted by Mothers & More of McHenry County

Risks for breast and cervical cancer can be reduced. Mothers & More of McHenry County welcomes speaker Rachel Wyss, a health educator with the McHenry County Department of Health, who will present causes of these diseases and steps that can be taken to reduce those risks.

Topics for younger and more mature moms will also be addressed, such as breast-feeding, pregnancy and hormone replacement therapy. A group member has agreed to share her personal journey in overcoming breast cancer and will answer questions about her experience.

The meeting will be from to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23 at Colonial Cafe, 5689 Northwest Highway, Crystal Lake. To RSVP, email Donna at bearluvin99@sbcglobal.net by Monday, Oct. 22.
