Submitted by Stateline SHRM

On Thursday, Sept. 12, Stateline Society for Human Resource Management will host a breakfast seminar to review the ongoing Stateline SHRM Workforce Initiative. The presentation will be given by Michelle Durpetti, program director for Advantage EAP and member of the Workforce Readiness Committee.

The Workforce Readiness Committee regularly meets with the special populations within McHenry County and the surrounding areas. Durpetti will explain and educate on the twofold initiative to support employees, employers and the HR community. She will highlight the need for a focus on improving services, programs and volunteerism to the Specialty Courts and explain the pilot program that has been developed and will be modeled in the larger community. The program is pending approval for 1.25 recertification credit hours toward PHR, SPHR and GPHR recertification through the HR Certification Institute. Applicable information will be included in on-site materials.

The breakfast meeting begins promptly at 7:45 a.m. and will adjourn at 9:45 a.m. at the McHenry County College Shah Center, 4100 W. Shamrock Lane in McHenry. Cost is $15, or $30 for nonmembers, payable by cash or check at the door. Credit card payments can be made online when registering. Reservations are required no later than Monday, Sept. 9.
