Green Spot book store offering December deals

Enjoy holiday music Friday evening at the Woodstock Mall, 110 S. Johnson St. on the Woodstock Square. Expressly Leslie’s will be hosting musicians on the main level of the mall on Dec. 14.

The Environmental Defender’s used book and gift store, The Green Spot, will be extending its hours until 7:30 p.m. All proceeds from the store benefit the Defenders.

All those signing up for the Defenders bookstore email list during these events will be entered into a drawing for a gift certificate for five free books. As a special holiday promotion, anyone spending $5 or more at the store during December will receive a free holiday book of his or her choice, while quantities last.

The Environmental Defenders of McHenry County is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization dedicated to the preservation and improvement of the environment. The group provides community residents with educational programs and volunteer action on pollution prevention, sustainable land use and energy and natural resource conservation.
