Lake Co. Family YMCA elects Tim Perry to board

The Lake County Family YMCA has elected former Grayslake Mayor Timothy R. Perry to its board of directors.

Perry, senior vice president at State Bank of The Lakes, has 30 years of experience providing banking and lending services to individuals and business customers. He has helped many small businesses start in Lake County.

“We're pleased to have Tim join the board and help us further our commitment to strengthen the community through programs and services that foster youth development, healthy living and social responsibility,” President & CEO Lynda Chott said.

Perry was Grayslake mayor from 2001 to 2009. He also has served on the Central Lake County Joint Action Water Agency (JAWA) Board where he was vice chair for two years, the Lake County Stormwater Management Commission Board, Grayslake village trustee, Grayslake Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and former Chamber president, Grayslake Exchange Club member and Lake County Contractors' Association, Government Affairs Committee.

The Lake County Family YMCA is a cause-driven nonprofit that strengthens the community through programs and services that foster youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Chartered in 1912 as a 501(c)3 nonprofit, our association is comprised of the Central Lake YMCA in Vernon Hills, Northern Lake YMCA in Waukegan and Early Head Start in Waukegan.
