South Elgin 61, Lake Park 50: South Elgin senior Becca Smith climbed even closer to 2,000 points for her career Saturday when she scored 22 in the Storm’s Upstate Eight Valley win on the road. Smith now has 1,942 career points. South Elgin hosts Glenbard North for Senior Night on Tuesday then travels to Batavia Thursday in an Upstate Eight crossover to close out the regular season. The Storm hosts a Class 4A regional the week of Feb. 13.
Kennede Miller added 14 points and Savanah Uveges had 13 for South Elgin (15-10, 4-8) in Saturday’s win.
Dundee-Crown 48, CL South 46: Ali Sanders scored 18 points as the Chargers (15-9, 8-3) secured second place in the Fox Valley Conference Valley Division and a date at Grayslake North next Friday in the FVC crossover 2nd place game. Sanders’ night also put her at 970 career points and helped the Chargers to a 15-win season for the first time since 2005-06. Carlin Faulkner added 12 points for D-C, which was down 36-29 entering the fourth quarter, and Diamond Williams had 8. Sara Mickow scored 15 points to lead the Gators (10-16, 4-7). Elizabeth Starck added 10 points for CLS and Stephanie Melone had 8.
Prairie Ridge 42, Jacobs 40: Maggie Hansen had 11 points and Lauren Grady added 10 for Jacobs (5-19, 2-9) in this FVC Valley loss.
Hampshire 72, Woodstock 21: Michelle Dumoulin had 21 points and Jenny Dumoulin added 17 to lead Hampshire (15-12, 7-4) to a Fox Valley (Fox) rout of Woodstock. Grace Jakubowski added 13 points for the Whip-Purs and Sara Finn had 9. Hampshire led 43-9 at halftime.
Westminster Christian 58, Rockford Christian Life 35: McKaila Hays led four Westminster players in double figures with 15 points as the Warriors (19-8, 5-2) closed out the regular season with this Northeast Athletic Conference win. Kinsley Donahue added 13 points, Claire Speweik had 12 and Whitney Vanden Bos 10 for Westminster.
Batavia 46, Larkin 31: Paris Patterson had 10 points to lead the Royals (4-21, 1-11) in this Upstate Eight River loss.

ECC 73, MCC 39: Cassie Dumoulin scored 22 points and DiJon Smith added 16 to lead the Spartans (17-6, 9-1) to an Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference win. Alex Dumoulin had 12 points and Carly Saraceno 11 for ECC.
