Favorite Chicken Noodle Casserole

10 ounces egg noodles

¼ cup butter

¼ cup flour

1 cup milk

½ teaspoon kosher salt

½ teaspoon fresh pepper

2 cup chicken stock

2 teaspoons hot pepper sauce (such as Frank’s)

4 cup cooked, cubed chicken

2 cups soft, bread cubes

2-3 tablespoons melted butter

1 cup freshly grated parmesan

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Butter 3 quart casserole dish.Cook noodles according to package direction; drain and keep warm.In medium saucepan melt butter over medium heat; blend in flour until smooth. Stir in milk, salt, pepper, chicken stock and hot sauce. Cook until thickened, stirring constantly, about 10 minutes.In prepared casserole dish, combine chicken and noodles, pour sauce over mixture. Top with buttered bread cubes and parmesan. Bake uncovered for one hour until bubbly and lightly brown.Servers six.
