NISRA to host holiday fashion show, tree raffle

Send a child with a disability to day camp, a Special Olympics athlete to tournaments, or help purchase a wheelchair-accessible bus to transport a disabled veteran to a fitness center by supporting the Northern Illinois Special Recreation Association Foundation's 16th annual Holiday Fashion Show and Christmas Tree Raffle.
This popular event will be Saturday, Nov. 19, at the Holiday Inn in Crystal Lake, at Route 31 and Three Oaks Road. The doors open at 10 a.m., lunch is served at noon, and the fashion show begins at 2 p.m.
Tickets are $50 each, or $60 for premier seats close to the runway. Proceeds benefit NISRA's year-round recreation programs for children and adults with disabilities. Call NISRA at (815) 459-0737 for information or to make a reservation.
Each tree and its theme-related gifts are valued at approximately $2,000. NISRA staff will deliver to winners within NISRA's service area. Old World Gem & Jewelry in McHenry is giving a diamond pendant for the jewelry raffle.
