Oakton’s artistic talent on display

Oakton Community College’s art faculty members will display their original artwork in ID Show 2011, a free exhibition at the Koehnline Museum of Art that opens Thursday, Nov. 3.

The show features distinctive paintings, photography, ceramics, and digital art.

The public is invited to a meet the artists at a free gala reception with refreshments from 5 to 8 p.m. on opening day. The exhibition runs through Dec. 2.

The museum, located at 1600 E. Golf Road in Des Plaines, is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. For details, call (847) 635-2633 or visit oakton.edu/museum.
