Girls volleyball/Fox Valley roundup

Ashley Rosch had 17 kills and 3 aces Thursday night to lead the Cary-Grove girls volleyball team to a 13-25, 25-16, 25-13 win over Prairie Ridge and the outright championship of the Fox Valley Conference Valley Division.

Meagen Seymour added 28 assists and 2 aces for the defending state runner-up Trojans, who closed out FVC Valley play with an 11-1 record and take a 31-4 mark into the postseason.

Huntley d. McHenry: Sam Boesch had 14 kills and Jaina Jackson added 6 as Huntley secured second place in the FVC Valley with a 25-12, 25-12 win. Eli Manning had 24 assists for the Red Raiders and Amy Dion added 12 digs.

CL Central d. Hampshire: Jenny Dumoulin had 6 kills and Kelly Meathe added 11 digs for Hampshire (8-21, 4-8) in a 25-10, 25-20 FVC Fox loss.
