COD hosts talk on Teen Archetype Cards Oct. 26

College of DuPage Art professors Jennifer Hereth and Kathy Kamal and licensed clinical social worker Geraldine Jender will discuss Teenage Archetype Cards from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 26, in the Student Services Center, Room 1229 on the Glen Ellyn campus, 425 Fawell Blvd.

The free presentation is part of the Global Brown Bag series and is open to the public.

Each card in the archetype deck features an artistic representation created by College staff and students of a word that reflects feelings, emotions or stereotypes. The deck is designed to spark discussion by teenagers who relate the image on a card to some aspect of their lives. Hereth, Kamal and Jender will discuss the cards, from inception to production, and will detail how the cards are being used in both therapy and classroom settings.
