Dist. 87 official assisting Latino Policy Forum
A Glenbard High School District 87 assistant superintendent has been selected to serve on the Latino Policy Forum’s Education Advisory Committee to help develop an education agenda for students in kindergarten through high school.
Hector Garcia, assistant superintendent for educational services, will help the group take a wider look at how to address education achievement gaps for Latino students and ensure they have access to high-quality, culturally relevant education. Garcia and other committee members will review the forum’s education agenda and make suggestions.
The Latino Policy Forum works to build the influence and leadership of the Latino community by transforming public policies that ensure the community’s well being.
The forum will issue a report that includes a strategic education agenda, priorities and recommendations.
