McHenry college business leadership series to start
Submitted by McHenry County College
McHenry County College Shah Center, 4100 W. Shamrock Lane in McHenry, is partnering with Development Dimensions International and is using certified instructors to offer the Frontline Leadership Series beginning Aug. 17.
The Frontline Leadership series is comprised of seven modules. This series is appropriate for individuals who carry out the strategies formulated in the executive suite. Frontline leaders struggle — not with the technical aspects of the job — but with the fundamental leadership skills that are critical to success in this new role.
These leaders might be new to the job, experienced supervisors or team managers, tenured middle managers or even informal leaders who lead without position power.
The course topics include: “Essentials of Leadership” on Aug. 17, “Leading High Performance Teams” on Aug. 24, “Accelerating Business Decisions” on Aug. 31, “Coaching for Improvement” on Sept. 7, “Managing Performance Problems” on Sept. 14, “Motivating Others” on Sept. 21 and “Mastering Interaction Skills” on Sept. 28.
People make or break an organization’s success. When leaders inspire others, coach, build trust and drive individual and team performance, organizations thrive.
Participants can register for individual courses or the entire series. The fee for an individual course is $155. The seven course series fee is $922. Use course ID NTL S24 001 to register. All courses are scheduled from 8 a.m. to noon at the Shah Center in McHenry.
All Shah Center courses may be conducted on-site at a company’s facility or at the Shah Center. For more information, call the Shah Center, (815) 455-8593 or email shahcenter@mchenry.edu. To register, call (815) 455-8588.
