COD hosts Student Life Open House Aug. 29

The College of DuPage Office of Student Life will host an open house from noon to 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 29, at the Student Services Center, Room 1217, at the Glen Ellyn campus, 425 Fawell Blvd.

The free event coincides with Chaparral Days, a two-week-long event designed to welcome students back to campus for the 2011-2012 academic year.

Visitors are invited to tour the new Office of Student Life in the College's new Student Services Center. The 65,000 square-foot center serves as a new front door to the COD campus and includes Admissions, Registration and Financial Aid on the main floor, Counseling and Advising on the upper floor, and various Student Activities offices located throughout the building.

A dramatic two-story open space on the main level features a wall of windows facing east. The atrium includes an information desk, gathering spots for students, as well as a new coffee shop.
