Lee Jackson’s sacrifice fly drove in the game-winning run in the top of the seventh inning Saturday as the Elgin baseball team downed DeKalb 4-3 in nonconference action at DeKalb.

Javier Cardenas (RBI) and Jacob Meyer each had 2 hits for the Maroons (4-27-1). Eric Daly picked up the win in relief of Joe Kellenberger.

Huntley 10, CL South 4: Brady Burkart (3-for-4, 2B), Jake Perkins (2-for-3, RBI), Tyler Murdock (2-for-3), Tyler Davila (2-for-4, 2 doubles, 3 RBI) and Bryce Only (HR, 2 RBI) led the Red Raiders (22-9, 17-7) past CL South in Fox Valley Conference action. Jake Staab (7-2) was Huntley’s winning pitcher and Nick Martin took the loss.

Burlington Central 12, Harlem 2: Sam Klein (3-for-3, 2B, 2 RBI), Tanner Scott (2B, 3 RBI), Nick Hahn (3-for-4, 2 RBI) and Joey Lange (2-for-4, 2 RBI) led the Rockets (22-7) to a nonconference win. Klein (8-1) went 5 innings on the mound for the victory.

Lake Park sweeps Bartlett: Bartlett fell to Lake Park twice in Upstate Eight Conference play, 11-5 and 11-9. Robert Smith drove in 2 runs and David Mutter had a double for the Hawks in the opener, while Brett Barger had a home run, a double and 4 RBI in the nightcap.

Stevenson 4, Cary-Grove 3: Kevin Weber homered and Tyler Lau had a double but Stevenson scored 2 runs in the bottom of the eighth to win this nonconference game. Ryan Kaveney was the losing pitcher for the Trojans (23-9).
