COD's 'Images' highlights Traditions in Excellence dinner, Artlook

“Images,” College of DuPage's monthly one-half hour television show, features in its May edition segments on the College's 14th annual Traditions in Excellence Dinner and Artlook.

Each month, Images highlights the personalities, news and curriculum of a vibrant College of DuPage campus. The show airs on 13 area cable television stations.

The May Images highlights the College's 14th annual Traditions in Excellence Dinner. This five-course dining experience features champagne, hors d'oeuvres, along with a silent auction and live music. The event serves as both a fundraiser for the College's Hospitality Administration program and as a practical learning experience for the program's students, who both prepare and serve the meal.

This year marks the event's final year in the Jack Turner Conference Center in the Student Resource Center. The College's Culinary & Hospitality program relocates to the new Culinary & Hospitality Center this summer in anticipation of its opening for the fall 2011 semester.

The May Images also features a segment on Artlook. The annual event features a variety of works by Liberal Arts students, including music, art exhibitions and theater performances. Held each April, Artlook is an opportunity for students to share their creations and for prospective students to learn more about the College's academic offerings.

Also featured this month are segments on the College's recent Pathways to Careers Open House, which featured information tables from various academic divisions and student organizations on campus. The May Images also features a segment on Buffalo Theatre Ensemble's upcoming production of Noel Coward's “Private Lives.”

"Images" airs at various times on cable television stations in Downers Grove, Wheaton, Addison, Elmhurst, Glen Ellyn, Naperville, Glendale Heights, Bartlett, Lemont, Elk Grove, Darien, Aurora and West Chicago. Check local cable listings for times and channels.
