Bartlett 7, Waubonsie Valley 2: Tori Burke fired a 4-hitter Friday to lead Bartlett to an Upstate Eight win at Waubonsie Valley. Burke struck out four and didn’t walk a batter. Andreana Taormina was 3-for-3 with a stolen base for the Hawks (8-10, 5-3) and Jacki Gulczynski had 2 RBI.
Jacobs 4, Dundee-Crown 1: Jenna Teson had 2 hits including a triple and Alyssa Lach had 2 RBI to lead Jacobs to a Fox Valley Conference win over rival Dundee-Crown. Marissa Lombardo allowed just 3 hits in picking up the pitching win for the Golden Eagles. Amanda Eissler suffered the loss for the Chargers.
Huntley 9, CL South 6: Winning pitcher Taylor Larson was 3-for-5 with 5 RBI as the Red Raiders (7-9, 4-2) won this Fox Valley Conference game. Nikki Demarco had 3 hits for Huntley and Brittany Koss was 2-for-4 with an RBI. Liz Adams (2-for-4, 2B, 2 RBI) and Rachel Leis (2-for-4, 2 RBI) led the Gators. Sam Golf was the losing pitcher.
Cary-Grove 15, McHenry 0: Eleni Polites, Taylor Dunne and Liz Semro each had 3 hits and Lindsay Efflandt (15-1) pitched a 4-hitter with 7 strikeouts and 1 walk to lead Cary-Grove (17-1, 8-0) to a Fox Valley Conference win. Alexis Haley added a triple for the Trojans.
