Pizza, beer tasting supports Cary autism center

In honor of National Autism Awareness Month, Nick's Pizza & Pub, 856 Pyott Road in Crystal Lake, will hold its eighth annual Pizza and Beer Tasting to benefit the Children's Center for Autism.

The benefit will be held from 6 to 10 p.m. Thursday, April 28, and will feature pizza, local craft beers and more. A silent auction will take place inside the tent, along with cash raffles and other prizes.

Tickets are $40 per adult, $10 for ages 13 to 20, and free for kids 12 and under. For more information or to purchase tickets for the tent activities, call (815) 759-7061.

Guests can also support the CCA and autism awareness through Nick's Pizza & Pub's All-Day Benefit. The total net profits from dine-in and carryout orders from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. will be donated to the CCA.

Kid-friendly activities will be taking place at the restaurant throughout the day, including face painting, crafts, bingo with chances to win prizes and a fun photo opportunity with the Nick's Pizza & Pub moose.
