East Aurora Alumni Association to honor graduates

The East Aurora Alumni Association will induct six distinguished Tomcats into the Alumni Hall of Fame during the seventh annual Distinguished Alumni Awards Ceremony at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, April 28, at Gaslite Manor, 2485 Church Road in Aurora.

The 2011 Distinguished Alumni are: Kaye Groot Mason, Class of 1942; Daniel D. Dolan, Class of 1949; Robert McCue Sr., Class of 1956; Dr. John LaCart, Class of 1965; Karen Platt Hart, Class of 1969; and Dr. Narda Coronado, Class of 1981.

The 2011 Outstanding Community Service Award will be presented to Businessman and Youth Advocate John Galles, Class of 1942.

Tickets are $30 per person or $300 for a table of 10.

Tickets can be purchased from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays at the East Aurora School Service Center, 417 Fifth St., Aurora. Tickets also can be ordered online at www.d131.org.

The 2011 Distinguished Alumni honorees span nearly 70 years of Tomcat history, from the Class of 1942 to today. These six distinguished alumni and the community service award recipient are leaders in their respective fields and have helped to pave the way for others.
