Lake Park takes two from Oak Park

Lake Park 8-10, Oak Park 3-1:

Vanessa Wegner went 2-for-4 with a double and 2-run homer and Stephanie Starr added a solo shot for the host Lancers in the first game of a doubleheader sweep. Shannon Fritsche went 3-for-4 with 2 doubles, a run scored and an RBI and Sarah Koch 2-for-4 with 2 RBI.

In the second game Sammi Vega went 3-for-3 with 2 doubles and 4 RBI. Stephanie Aronson went 2-for-3 and scored 3 runs for Lake Park (2-2).

Glenbard North 10-4, York 0-0:

Alexis Simone cracked a 3-run homer, her second of the season, doubled and drove in 4 runs for the Panthers in Game 1 of the doubleheader. Lilly Fecho (3-0) struck out six, scored 2 runs and had an RBI and Sydney Benz drove in 2 runs and scored one.

Winning pitcher Lindsey Cherry (1-0) struck out seven in the second game for Glenbard North (4-0). Benz went 2-for-3 with an RBI, Alyssa Jasinski drove in 2 runs and Alex Caliva tripled and had an RBI.
