Computer issue delays ECC registration
Registration for summer and fall classes at Elgin Community College has been delayed because of a computer problem.
Registration was originally scheduled to start Monday. Now, priority registration (for current ECC students) will begin April 13. Open registration (for everyone else) begins April 18.
Information technology staff is investigating what caused the problem. The college says no data were compromised, and ECC’s other computer systems, including the website, e-mail and distance learning, were not affected.
The delays should not affect that start of summer classes, which begin May 31.
You can register at Room 165 of the Student Resource Center, 1700 Spartan Drive or online at elgin.edu/accessecc.
