Freshman Savanah Uveges scored 5 goals Monday as South Elgin rolled over Elgin 9-1 at Millennium Field in the opening round of the South Elgin Spring Break Tournament.

Lauren Vedrine, Jenna Hollander, Molly Tierney and Janette Salas also scored for the Storm, who led 5-0 at halftime.

Emily Young had 10 saves in goal and Kaylie Latsonas had 2 for South Elgin (2-1).

Missy Roberts scored Elgin’s only goal on a penalty kick.

Bartlett 2, West Chicago 0: Nicki Noreen and Trisha Donlon scored goals and Natalia Grodzki posted the shutout in goal as the Hawks opened the South Elgin tournament with a win.

Jacobs 2, Marian Central 1: Lauren Grady and Amy Rigby scored Jacobs’ goals and Cassidy Sherman had both assists as the Golden Eagles won at the St. Francis Invite. Monica Orjeula had 5 saves in goal for Jacobs.

Jacobs 1, Metea Valley 0: Lauren Grady scored off an assist from Cassidy Sherman as the Golden Eagles (3-1) won for the second time Monday at the St. Francis Invite. Monica Orjeula had 5 saves in the net for Jacobs.

Fenwick 2, Cary-Grove 1: Liz Koch scored the Trojans’ only goal in this loss at the St. Francis Invite.

Cary-Grove 4, Maine West 0: JeJay Usab netted a hat trick as Cary-Grove (3-2) bounced back to win its second game of the day at St. Francis. Grace Meehan added the other goal for the Trojans.

Glenbard North 6, Streamwood 0: Alexandra Lopez had 5 saves and Brianna Roppo made 10 but the Sabres (1-3) fell to Glenbard North in nonconference action.

CL South 1, Hampshire 1: Morgan Beaver scored off a Karla Vietinghoff assist for Hampshire in the first half, then Kali Loescher came back with a second-half goal to tie it for the Gators. Elizabeth Quinn made 1 save in goal for CL South (1-2-1) and Alex Dumoulin turned away 17 shots in the net for Hampshire (0-0-3).
