Freshman Savanah Uveges scored 5 goals Monday as South Elgin rolled over Elgin 9-1 at Millennium Field in the opening round of the South Elgin Spring Break Tournament.
Lauren Vedrine, Jenna Hollander, Molly Tierney and Janette Salas also scored for the Storm, who led 5-0 at halftime.
Emily Young had 10 saves in goal and Kaylie Latsonas had 2 for South Elgin (2-1).
Missy Roberts scored Elgin’s only goal on a penalty kick.
Bartlett 2, West Chicago 0: Nicki Noreen and Trisha Donlon scored goals and Natalia Grodzki posted the shutout in goal as the Hawks opened the South Elgin tournament with a win.

CL South 1, Hampshire 1: Morgan Beaver scored off a Karla Vietinghoff assist for Hampshire in the first half, then Kali Loescher came back with a second-half goal to tie it for the Gators. Elizabeth Quinn made 1 save in goal for CL South (1-2-1) and Alex Dumoulin turned away 17 shots in the net for Hampshire (0-0-3).
