John Pizzarelli at the MAC April 23

Internationally acclaimed jazz guitarist, vocalist and band leader John Pizzarelli performs at 8 p.m. Saturday, April 23, on the Mainstage of the McAninch Arts Center at College of DuPage, 425 Fawell Blvd. in Glen Ellyn.

Having established himself as one of the greatest interpreters of The Great American Songbook, Pizzarelli has given his own twist to compositions by everyone from Richard Rodgers and George Gershwin to James Taylor and John Lennon and Paul McCartney.

Pizzarelli's recorded more than two dozen albums and worked with various musicians, including his father, the famed Bucky Pizzarelli, Rosemary Clooney and his wife, Jessica Molaskey. Additionally, the guitarist and his wife co-host a nationally syndicated radio show, “Radio Deluxe with John Pizzarelli.”

The April 28 performance includes a free pre-performance MAC chat from 7 to 7:40 p.m. in Room 139.

Tickets to John Pizzarelli are $42 for adults, $40 for seniors and $32 for College of DuPage students and youth.
