ECC to present 'vocal play' group Naturally 7

Naturally 7 will bring the band to Elgin Community College Friday, Feb. 4. The sounds of guitars, turntables, harmonicas, drums and other instruments will come alive from their voices when they perform at 7:30 p.m. in the ECC Arts Center, 1700 Spartan Drive, Elgin.

Naturally 7's performance goes steps above a cappella singing with their concept of “vocal play,” or singing as the instruments. Audiences will experience a true wall of sound from seven men who tackle lead and backing vocals, in addition to serving as their own rhythm section.

The septet has been an international phenomenon, gaining fame through their performance of Phil Collins' “In the Air Tonight” in a Paris subway train — which has garnered 4.5 million-plus hits on YouTube.

Tickets for Naturally 7 are $35 and $32. Tickets are available online at tickets.elgin.edu or at the ECC box office located in the arts center. Box office hours are noon to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and noon to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday. To purchase tickets by phone, call (847) 622-0300. All major credit cards are accepted.
