Naturally 7 to harmonize at ECC
Naturally 7 will bring the band to the Elgin Community College Arts Center on Friday, Feb. 4. The sounds of guitars, turntables, harmonicas, drums and other instruments will be heard through performers’ voices when they perform at 7:30 p.m. at ECC, 1700 Spartan Drive, Elgin.
Naturally 7’s performance goes steps above a cappella singing with their concept of “vocal play,” or singing as the instruments. Audiences will experience a true wall of sound from seven men who tackle lead and backing vocals, in addition to serving as their own rhythm section.
The septet has gained international notoriety through their performance of Phil Collins’ “In the Air Tonight” in a Paris subway train — which has garnered 4.5 million-plus hits on YouTube. Naturally 7 also have opened for singer Michael Bublé and have been seen recently on television on The Today Show and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
Tickets for Naturally 7 are $32/$35. Tickets for all performances in the ECC Arts Center are available online at tickets.elgin.edu or at the ECC box office located in the arts center. Box office hours are noon-7 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and noon-5 p.m. Friday and Saturday. To purchase tickets by phone, call (847) 622-0300. All major credit cards are accepted.
