Transitional home needed in Elgin

There are too many people that are living on the streets without any home and no help from anybody. I believe that there should be a transitional independent living facility in Elgin to help youths get a job, to teach them how to pay for their own personal needs and to live in an apartment where there would be a foster parent to help them pay their bills.

Some stay at the PADS homeless shelter in Elgin, which they don't help you with getting a job or teach you how to live on your own. The transitional independent living will help the youths become responsible for their own lives. When youths move out when they are 18, most aren't responsible enough to support themselves, which leaves them living on the streets or in PADS. Having an independent living facility in Elgin like there is in Woodstock will help youths become more responsible and will help them be successful so they aren't living on the streets.
