Learn how to reduce erosion in Crystal Lake

The Venetian Gardens Homeowners Association will host a waterfront erosion reduction meeting at 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 13, at the Algonquin Township building, 3702 Route 14, Crystal Lake.

The meeting will feature a full spectrum of representatives from environmental, professional and consulting interests with the intention of demonstrating various erosion control methods for river, channel and lake front property owners.

Several years ago, Venetian Gardens applied for and worked hard to secure dredging of waterways within the subdivision from the Fox Waterway Agency. This project has come to fruition due to this effort and cooperative volunteers. Benefits of this project will be optimized with erosion control techniques applied.
