Wheaton Academy tops Wheaton North

Wheaton Academy outscored visiting Wheaton North 34-14 over the second and third quarters, leading to a 59-39 nonconference win in West Chicago.

Wheaton Academy made 16 of 21 free throws to 3 of 13 for the Falcons.

Wes Koral scored 17 points and Tate Fritz 13 to pace the host Warriors, who remain unbeaten at 6-0. Wheaton North (4-2) got 9 points from Ed Norris and 8 from Mike Fitzpatrick.

Glenbard North 75, Lake Park 61: The host Panthers enjoyed a 21-point first quarter and went the distance to win the nonconference game in Carol Stream. Josh Fleming scored a game-high 22 points while Anthony Keener followed with 21 for Glenbard North (3-2). Lake Park (4-3) got 14 points from Zack Cooper, 13 from Zack Wagner and 10 apiece from Dominique Spencer and Carlos Cortez.

Herscher 52, Lisle 35: The visiting Lions (1-4, 0-2) trailed 26-11 after the first half of the Interstate Eight contest. Kyle Frazier's 12 points led Lisle, followed by Phil Palicka with 9.
