Brownfield would be independent voice Bartlett needs in Springfield

I am a 14-year resident of Bartlett and I am deeply concerned about what is happening in Bartlett and beyond because of what is not happening in Springfield.

The state budget is not balanced, funding solutions are not being found by our so-called representatives, and education and the most essential of social services are not receiving the support needed and promised.

These serious problems affect each and every one of us in some capacity and it's time for us voters to do something about it.

Please exercise your right to vote on Nov. 2. Please choose sensible candidates who are willing to take an honest look at the problems, do the math, and make the hard choices. Greg Brownfield, candidate for state representative for the 55th District (including Bartlett), is one such candidate.

Greg is solutions-oriented, not politics-oriented. He is service-oriented, not self-oriented.

Greg is passionate about fixing our state's many problems. He is committed to working with people from both parties to do the homework and find solutions. He wants what's best for our state and its people. Visit his website (www.gregbrownfield.org) and you will see his passion and dedication for yourself.

As a conservative independent who most often votes Republican, I find Greg, a Democrat, to be a refreshing, independent change from the shenanigans of both parties. He's even been endorsed by at least one conservative Chicago newspaper.

I've known Greg for more than 10 years. He's one of the most intelligent and caring people I've ever met. He has spent years studying the issues. Let's give him a chance to work hard and find some solutions.

Greg Brownfield will get my vote on Nov. 2, and I hope he will get yours.
