State House, Dist. 48: Connelly

For the last two years, incumbent Michael Connelly has been doing the job the voters in Illinois House District 48 elected him to do.

The Lisle Republican quickly familiarized himself with Springfield politics and started working with House members from both political parties to get things accomplished.

Following a suggestion from one constituent, Connelly drafted a proposal that allows bidding on state contracts to be done through an online reverse auction process.

A Democratic challenger is hoping to represent the district that includes portions of Naperville, Lisle, Wheaton, Woodridge and Bolingbrook.

Newcomer Barbara Green of Lisle says her top priority is to create jobs. However, Connelly has better ideas on how to make that happen and has demonstrated a commitment to them.

We endorse Connelly.
