Scouts to honor Harper College's Ender; Bears' Pat McCaskey

The Northwest Suburban Council will honor four outstanding area leaders at its annual Distinguished Citizen Banquet, Oct. 6 at the Stonegate Conference Centre in Hoffman Estates.

Honorees this year are Kenneth Ender, president of Harper College; Patrick McCaskey, the Chicago Bears special projects director; Al Knox, a partner in BIK & Co.; and Skokie Mayor George Van Dusen.

The program will be emceed by Paul Meinke, ABC-TV reporter, past Distinguished Citizen Award recipient, and Scouting volunteer.

The event will feature Joe Wiegand portraying President Theodore Roosevelt as the keynote speaker. Wiegand has entertained audiences nationwide with Roosevelt's adventure and inspirational stories.

Registration and a reception begin at 6 p.m., followed by the 7 p.m. dinner and program.

The event is black tie optional.

Stephenson, among others.
