Taylor Lesner had 10 kills and Alyssa Ehrhardt added 9 aces and 3 kills as Jacobs opened the girls volleyball season Thursday with a 25-10, 25-17 win over Antioch.

Quinn Luehring added 16 assists for the Golden Eagles.

Huntley d. Rosary: Sam Boesch and Ashley Smith each had 10 kills to lead Huntley to a 25-12, 19-25, 25-18 nonconference win in the Red Raiders' season opener. Amy Dion added 6 kills and 16 digs for Huntley.

Elgin d. East Aurora: Jen Fulton had 8 kills, Heather Gawluck had 17 assists and 3 kills and Kasandra Gavina added 6 aces and 3 digs to lead Elgin to a season-opening 25-19, 25-18 win over East Aurora. Rachel Roth added 4 aces and 6 digs for the Maroons and Bre Hamilton had 5 kills.

Indian Creek d. Westminster: Cara Tyrell had 9 kills, 2 aces and 4 digs and Hannah Graves added 12 assists, 5 digs, 5 kills and 3 aces but Westminster fell 21-25, 25-20, 25-16 in nonconference play. Katie Moeller added 7 digs, 4 kills and 2 aces for the Warriors.
