Children's chorus holding camp for young singers

This summer, the Elgin Children's Chorus will present its 15th annual Elgin Children's Chorus Camp for girls and boys, ages 7 to 16 with unchanged voices. The weeklong vocal arts camp will be held at the Elgin Community College Visual and Performing Arts Center, 1700 Spartan Drive, Elgin.

The camp runs Monday, June 14 through Saturday, June 19, culminating with a Saturday concert. Camp times are 9 to 11:30 a.m.

Campers will work with the directors, sing a variety of music, learn sight singing, relax during snack time, meet children who love to sing, and get a free T-shirt. Your child will enjoy a week of choral singing, learn valuable music skills, socialize with other singers, and perform in an all-camp concert on the Blizzard Theater stage.
