Improv group brings 'Whose Live Anyway?' to ECC
Spontaneous comedy, songs and audience participation will be part of "Whose Live Anyway?" an event featuring the cast of the popular ABC television hit "Whose Line is it Anyway?"
The show will be held at 4 and 7 p.m. on Sunday, May 2, at the Elgin Community College Visual and Performing Arts Center's Blizzard Theatre, 1700 Spartan Drive, Elgin.
Since its first sellout show in 1999 in Vancouver, British Columbia, "Whose Live Anyway?" has traveled nonstop and consistently sold out in venues throughout the United States and Canada.
The core of the 90-minute show is its cast - all improv comedians and mainstays of the show "Whose Line is it Anyway?" Ryan Stiles, Greg Proops, Chip Esten and Jeff B. Davis take suggestions from the audience and transform them into comedic sketches. The quartet performs some of the games made famous from "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" plus several new ones.
Tickets for $35, $45 and $55 are available online at tickets.elgin.edu or at the ECC box office located in the arts center. Box office hours are noon to 7 p.m. Monday to Thursday, and noon to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday. To purchase tickets by phone, call (847) 622-0300.
