Carolyn Nojiri's two-out single in the fifth scored Brittany Nagy to break a scoreless tie. Katie Huzinger doubled and scored in the sixth for No. 15 Downers Grove North (14-5). Danielle Trezzo singled and doubled for No. 5 Downers Grove South (15-2).

Naperville North 6, WW South 3: Sammy Marshall went 2-for-3 and scored 2 runs for the Huskies (12-7, 4-0 DuPage Valley Conference), who matched their conference win total from a year ago. Winning pitcher Emily Dieckmann (6-3) and Tara Degl'Innocenti both went 2-for-3 with an RBI. For WW South (11-11, 1-3) Timmie Rappe went 2-for-4.

Glenbard West 4, Hinsdale South 3: Taylor Steinhilber struck out 12 for the Hilltoppers in an eight-inning win. Michele Waggoner went 3-for-5 with a double.

Glenbard South 7, Rochelle 0: Jess Wilkes (12-1) struck out seven over five innings, combining with Jane Trzaska on a 1-hitter in Rochelle. Brianna Meath went 4-for-4 with a double, triple, 2 runs scored and an RBI for No. 3 Glenbard South (17-2, 7-0 Western Sun Conference). Jenny Wittenberg went 2-for-4 and scored a run.

Lake Park 6, Waubonsie Valley 0: Vanessa Wegner slugged her fifth homer of the year and Samantha Becker doubled and drove in 2 runs for the No. 7 Lancers (17-3, 7-2 Upstate Eight Conference), who won their 10th straight. Angie Bates (10-2) struck out six.

Neuqua Valley 11, Larkin 1: Jenna Marsalli doubled, tripled, drove in 2 runs and scored 2 more for the Wildcats (14-7, 7-3 Upstate Eight Conference). Colleen Hohman doubled twice with 2 RBI.
