Glenbard North rallies to edge Wheaton North
Glenbard North 7, Wheaton North 6: Alyssa Jasinski's go-ahead single capped a 4-run Panthers seventh-inning rally in a wild one in Wheaton.
No. 9 Wheaton North (12-3, 0-2 DuPage Valley Conference) trailed 3-0 after five innings, but scored 6 runs in the bottom of the sixth. Paige Wilson was 2-for-4 with 2 RBI for the Falcons. Jessica Norman's leadoff single in the seventh started Glenbard North's comeback.
Jenny Nelson slugged her sixth homer of the year and Jasinski hit her second homer for No. 8 Glenbard North (9-3, 1-1).
Naperville North 8, West Aurora 1: Winning pitcher Emily Dieckmann (4-2) went 3-for-4 with a homer and 2 RBI as the visiting Huskies (8-6, 2-0 DVC) won their sixth straight. Tara Degl'Innocenti went 2-for-4 with a double and 3 RBI.
West Chicago 13, Glenbard East 0: Kaity Olsen went 2-for-3 with a double and 2 runs scored, and the Wildcats (13-5, 2-0 DVC) put up a 9-run first inning. Jenny Goldsmith went 2-for-3 with a triple and scored a run. Mary Connolly (10-3) struck out five.
Glenbard West 2, Lyons Twp. 0: Taylor Steinhilber (4-5) struck out three in a shutout. Bri Wyatt went 2-for-3 with a run scored and Michele Waggoner drove in a run for Glenbard West (6-9, 2-0 West Suburban Silver).
Downers Grove North 4, Oak Park 0: Elaine Heflin (7-1) struck out 13, 1-hitting the defending West Suburban Silver champs in Oak Park as the Trojans (12-3, 3-0) won their 11th straight.
Taylor McSheffery hit a 2-run homer and Katie Hunzinger a solo shot for Downers Grove North in a 3-run seventh.
Immaculate Conception 7, Wheaton Academy 3: The Knights snapped a 1-1 tie with a 3-run fourth, and Brianna Iosco hit a 2-run homer in the fifth as IC ran its win streak to eight straight.
Katelyn Conenna and Maria Kielszewski both went 2-for-3 for IC (11-5, 6-0 Suburban Christian Gold). Bitsy Weaver had a triple and RBI for Wheaton Academy (9-6, 1-4).
Montini 6, Rosary 3: Winning pitcher Lara Mangialardi (6-7) hit a 3-run homer in a 4-run Montini sixth, as the Broncos (6-11, 4-2 Suburban Christian) rallied in Lombard. Mangialardi also had a double and struck out seven.
Addison Trail 3, Hinsdale South 0: Katie Klco twirled a 4-hitter for the Blazers.
Downers Grove South 20, Proviso East 0: Alisha Bozek drove in 8 runs and scored 3, going 4-for-4 with a double and triple for the No. 5 Mustangs (11-1, 2-0 West Suburban Gold).
