Blues and jazz masters to present concert at ECC

Guitarist and singer Megon McDonough joins blues master Corky Siegel and jazz violinist Randy Sabien for a pair of performances at 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, and 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 14, at the arts center's SecondSpace Theatre, 1700 Spartan Drive, Elgin.

Siegel has earned a reputation as one of the world's great blues harmonica masters. He is a composer, blues pianist and singer who has 18 recordings.

McDonough has nine solo albums to her credit and has performed at Carnegie Hall, in numerous theater productions and for television.

Named "the past, present and future of jazz violin" by National Public Radio's Jazz Profiles, Sabien's eclectic style ranges jazz, rock, roots, blues and country/rock.

A pre-concert gourmet dinner, prepared and served by students of ECC's Culinary Arts and Hospitality Institute of Elgin, costs $19 per person.

Seating is available for $25 per person Feb. 13 and $22 Feb. 14. Tickets are available at tickets.elgin.edu or at the ECC box office located in the arts center. Box office hours are noon to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday and noon to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
