Feece, Vernon Hills top Grant

Vernon Hills 57, Grant 43: Jessica Feece had 13 points, 4 assists, 4 rebounds and 3 steals for the host Cougars in the North Suburban Prairie Division game.

Vernon Hills (13-7, 8-1) also received solid games from Alana Coy (11 points, 3 steals, 3 rebounds, 2 assists), Meri Bennett-Swanson (10 points), Jessica Schwartz (7 points, 10 rebounds) and Julie Pecht (7 points, 4 steals, 3 assists, 3 rebounds).

Grant (9-12, 4-3) was led in scoring by Donnie Taggart with 12 points. Heather Chapman and Morgan Jahnke each had nine.

Zion-Benton 48, Waukegan 43: Juanita Robinson had 12 points and 5 assists for the host Zee-Bees, who snapped their two-game losing streak with the nonconference win.

Helena Rodriguez added 9 points for Zion-Benton (15-6), which improved to 8-0 at home. Shanyell Jackson chipped in 5 points, 6 steals and 4 rebounds, and Octavia Crump scored all 6 of her points down the stretch.
